CNSM FIELD TRIP SAFETY TRAINING

The rules and guidelines in the CNSM Field Trip/Project Safety Manual* were developed to help ensure that all field trips exercise the utmost regard for the safety of each participant. Field trip leaders, please review all pertinent portions of the manual with field trip participants prior to departure, and obtain the signatures of all participants on the field trip signup sheet. Please give this signup sheet to your department office prior to departure. Students, please read all applicable portions of the manual as directed by your field trip leader.

The manual contains field trip leader and participant responsibilities, vehicular requirements (including watercraft), safety guidelines and specific rules for field operations, potential hazards you may encounter, etc. Following these rules and guidelines should provide the safest practical environment for all participants and should minimize the occurrence of safety-related incidents.
