Jeffrey S. Mellon is campus Radiation Safety Officer and shares the task of Chemical Hygiene Officer for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at California State University, Long Beach. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from CSU Fullerton, then worked for 12 years in the private sector providing radiation safety and hazardous materials management services. He is a Certified Hazardous Material Manager and has applied his skills in the academic realm since joining CSULB in 1984.
