Supports significant research in non-Ph.D. granting depts of chemistry, physics, and astronomy at both public and private institutions that will lead to significant contributions to scientific knowledge and enhance undergrad participation in research-oriented teaching programs. Emphasis is on initiatory funding to cover equipment, supplies, summer stipends (student and faculty), and some travel expenses. Awards provide summer support of about $35,000 over up to 2 years. Renewal is possible. Target dates for completed apps are 5/15 and 11/15 each year. Only online applications will be accepted. E-mail: sronco@rescorp.org
