Why can't I activate my account?
There are two likely reasons why you may not be able to activate your account. One is that account activation is not yet available. This is typically the case before the current semester begins. The first day for account activation for Fall 2008 is September 2.
The other reason may be that you are not recorded as being currently enrolled in either SCED 475 or EDSS 450C in our Science Methods Online database, which usually happens if a student registers for the class late. Please note that Science Methods Online enrollment is separate from University enrollment. If this is the case, you should receive an error message stating "You do not appear to be enrolled in SCED 475 or EDSS 450C" when you try to activate. Please email dames@csulb.edu with your full name and student ID number to become eligible.
Why can't I sign up for an event?
There are three likely reasons why you may not be able to sign up for a particular event. One is that event signup is not yet available. Event signup usually becomes available a week after the semester starts to give students a chance to settle into their classes. The first day for event signup for Fall 2008 is September 9.
The second reason may be that the event is full, which is indicated by the column labeled "Seats Avail." is at 0. However, seats may later become available as students cancel their reservations, so check back from time to time.
The third reason may be that the event has passed. You may not sign up for events that have already occurred.
