Objectives, curriculum, materials, assesment, and instructional methods and strategies in teaching science to diverse student populations. Builds on prior Single Subject Credential Program courses. Situates content instruction within the context of the total school program. Emphasizes reflective practice based on California Standards for the Teaching Profession and state curriculum frameworks. Required prior to student teaching; recommended to be taken the semester immediately prior to student teaching. Seminar/laboratory 4 hours. "B" grade or better required to advance to student teaching. Traditional grading only.
