Research Interests:
Tectonics, Geomorphology

Most of my research is concerned with the tectonic and topographic evolution of California or the Arctic. I commonly use structural mapping, paleomagnetic techniques, geomorphic analysis, and more recently, LIDAR imagery to investigate tectonic and geomorphic questions. Recent topics that I have been working on include:

1. Neotectonics of the northern San Jacinto Fault Zone
2. Uplift of the San Jacinto Mountains
3. Rotation of crustal blocks in Southern California and implications for crustal dynamics
4. Tectonic evolution of East Greenland
5. Mud Volcanoes in the Salton Trough
