Science Safari to Success and CNSM Family Program
Science Safari to Success - Overview
Science Safari to Success is an orientation program sponsored by the Jensen SAS Center and the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM), and will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, 2008. It is designed to introduce incoming freshmen to a range of services, resources, and involvement opportunities that will help students during their time at The Beach. Students participate in activities, meet CNSM faculty members, and interact with CNSM students and organization leaders. Parents, family members and other guests are also invited to attend this program. See registration form for fees. If you have already registered and would like to pay online, please continue to the payment form.
Science Safari to Success - Overnight Accommodations
Science Safari to Success participants (students, parents and guests) will have access to and encouraged to utilize overnight housing in the CSULB Housing complex. CNSM freshmen will be housed in one building, while parents, family members, and guests will be housed in another building. An additional fee is required for each overnight guest. Day 2 (Students): CNSM/SOAR Workshop

This workshop is a collaborative effort between CNSM and the University's sponsored new student academic advising program known as Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR). All new CSULB students are REQUIRED to attend SOAR. Two separate registration processes and fees are required for Science Safari to Success and SOAR. Day 2 (Family): CNSM Family Program
While incoming CNSM freshmen are attending SOAR on Saturday, parents and family members are invited to attend our CNSM Family Program from 9:00am to 4:00pm. This one-day program is designed to help parents facilitate their student's smooth transition to CSULB and the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Parents spend a day on campus and receive information about CSULB, the College, the Jensen SAS Center, and student services and programs. Parents also have an opportunity to meet staff, faculty and current students who support student success. See registration form for fees.
