The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at California State University is located just south of the University Student Union and across the quad from the University Bookstore on the west side of campus adjacent to East Campus Drive (view map). The Science Departments are currently housed in the Molecular and Life Sciences Center, the Microbiology Building, and Peterson Hall of Science 1 & 2. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is located in FO3, just south of the University Bookstore.
In Spring 2011, the Hall of Science construction will be completed, replacing the Peterson Hall of Science, and the new building will be open for classes Fall 2011. The Hall of Science is a 160,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that will have 22 research laboratories, 31 teaching laboratories, two 180-seat lecture halls, and two 80-seat lecture halls.
